Inoixs.—A largo canoe upon runners was drawn by four horses along tho streets yesterday evening, with six largo bogus Indians in it, iji full savage costume.— They hailed from Otter Caeek, and resembled the real sort very much. Each one brandished aloft his weapon of war'—the oar, club, bow and arro.v, and so forth, to tho great terror of the children.

Mitt Fanny Denkam.—To-night offered .lie r»re»t amazement of the season. The two companies have rolnntcered for the occasion, and that the lovers of the drama may expect to be entertained in a manner far superior to any even log's entertainment yet offered. Po-ca-hon-laa will be repeated by particular request Sketches in India and In and oat of Place, with singing and d%pcing, ke. Miss Fanny Denham will appear in fire different characters.

This benefit ts taken to remunerate her for the heavy loss she met with by the failure of the late lesee, W. liegeman.

The Military Levee.

The party given at the National Hotel on the i2l, by the Fort Harrison Guard, was the finest affair of tbo season. The numbor in attendance was not near as laige as we had hoped to see present on the'oeca*ion, but every ono appeared to enjoy the festivities of (ho evening.

A portion of the two military companies of Indianapolis were there, and also a largo number of the Company from Paris, all in full nuiforra. There was nothing to mar the feelings or to abaie the amusements of the ovening—all passed off in the best of humor.

The Committee of arrangement* deserve the highest praise for their efforts to please ami accommodate their guests, anl in decorating tho room, which was done in the most patriotic manner possible.

S£Sf.K!amxn.—For the past few days there has been the finest sloighing that wo have lwl in^Torro-Haute for many years. The streets have beeu literally crowded with sleighs of all sizes and description-, running in every direction, filled with Vitro's fairest daughters, who are always on the right side of tho young men, though many of them are over officious and potile nt times, when the voting lady least requires it for her own safety, as wo hoar of several tdeighs upsetting an endangering life and limb. All right, drive on. If I he ladies ran appreciate such attention* because they arc fashionable, we have no objections.
