For tha yaar ending June 30,1850, as shown by tho last treasury report, our total exports amounted to 9l36,« 946,912. Value of cotton §71,984,616 tobacco, •9,951,028. Making a liberal estimate on the products of tha sea, forest, and agriculture, and gir. ing all the export of specie to the North during tha yaar, the products of free labor going to freight ships, outward bound, did not exceed forty millions, or leas than am third of the total anport*.
In 1851 our total exports amount* ad to 6195.469.781, of which the North famished Isst Am omfumrth— My 645.600,000. The South furaiahed 6113.315,317 in eotton alone, Mid 69,$19,S5l in tobbaeco.
In 1852 tha total exports were 6196,868,984. Giving thirty aeren miltioaa of specie to tha North, she exported only about 667,000,000, or ft little mora than one third. The eal of cotton exported by the Sonth was 637,963,782 tobacco 610,081,28ft.
