It seem* a little strange that the mechanics of Terre-IIaute feel so little interest in their own welfare, as to neglect a lecture delivered for their intercut#.

We look upon a lecture as

the best means o£ obtaining nseful information by those who cannot have timr to read as much as they may desire. It gives the substance of correct reading, which ha«, perhaps, taken years to pcrfect, and still the mechanics generally are too apt to consider them dry. Such persons are wrong, and if they would attend two or throe lectures with a vsew of paying attention to what in said, they would readily change snch tern ions. Lot all turn out on Tuesday night—it will pay yon bett«r than any night you haw spoilt in the past six months. Mr. iordon is said to be a fine lecturer, and ho shonld have a full house.

Kvery momhor of tho Mc CI tiro Library Association, is respectfully requested to be in attendance.

Woon—Dear Sir: I have heard much said of the wonderful cffecte of your Hair Restorative, but having been so often cheated bv quackery and quack nostrums, hairdyes. &c., I was disposed to place your Restorative 1n the same catagor^-wfth the thousand and one loudly trumpeted quack remedies, until I met you in Lawrence county some months since, when yon gave nie mich assurance as induced the trial of your Restorative in my (ami v—first by my good wife, whose hair had beconn very thin and entirely white, and b«fore xhiustitig one »fyour large bottles, her hair w»s restored nearly to its original beautiful brown color, and had thickened and become beautiful and glr*sv upon, and entirely over the head she continues to use it, not simply because of its beautifving Hfects upon the hair, but because of Its healthftil influence upon the head and mind. Others of my fatnli? and friends are using vour Restorative, with the happiest efforts therefore, my skepticism and dcrtibto in reference to its character ami value are entirely removed and I can and do most cordially and confidentially recnamiend its use by all who would have their hair restored from white or gray (by reason of sickness or ago,) to original color and beauty, and by all yonng persona who would have their bairbenHlbl and glonty. p%
