YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONVENTION. Th« First One Kver Held In this City Opens Tuesday.
The convention that is to be held here next Tuesday is the first of this kind held in Terru Haute. Other religious conventions have indeed -been held here, but nothing which had its leading thought iytsed on the broad foundation of inter-de nominationalism. The motto of the Christian Endeavor Society is "For Qlhrist and the Church." This does not mean any church at all when it is brought down to the range of the single individual, but the one particular church of which that in dividual is a member. The individuals band themselves into a society whose duty it is to work for their own churches. The societies unite to form districts, the districts are the divisions of a state and the states are divisions of the C'untry. With this country: all the countries of the world are united un der the banner "The World for ChriBt." Not any particular country not:any par ticular state not any particulandenomi nation, but all the world one choVch and all for Christ. Dr. Iloulthaler and Key, Hunter have been familiar with the workings of the C. E. society sainoe its organization, and both are forcible and eloquent speakers, and this wtll be a good opportunity for those who are unacquainted with the workings of the E. society to familiarize themselves with its methods. Those who wish to attend will be assigned places of entertainment by writing to Miss Harriet Brown, 505 north Sixth street, Terre Hante. Fol lowing is the programme:

WAGNER
BIG
has gained a signal victory
in its controversy with the Pullman Company. By the decision just ren-
dereT by Judge Gresham and Bkxigett, in the United, States Circuit Court
at Chicaao, "the motion made by the Pullman Company to enjoin the Wagner Company from the use of the "Vestibule" is denied, and the Wagner Company is sustained on every point it has made in the contest. This decision practically disposes of the litigation, and leaves the Wagner Company a clear field in which to demonstrate the superiority of its perfected vestfbnle, which is now in use on all express trains of the Big Four route, making the trains practically solid from end to end, an advantage which will be readily appreciated by the traveling public.
