The gentleman with the brass band and enormous nerve, Mr. Charles Alvin Joslin Davis/ gave what he claims to be a dramatic performance at the Opera House last night He has with him a good quartette, a brass band that looks and plays very much like the aggregated musical talent of Punk T«wn, and a good leading lady, who ought to be ashamed of herself for getting into bad company. Further than this, the show is tiresome. Mr. Davis ne.ver could act, and gives no indication of ever learning how, and he naturally has not surrounded himself with talent greater than his own. Th& play is without plot or coherency, sisting of a series of meaningless "conversations concerning nothing, leading to nothing save the frequent enunciation of the words, "Alvin Joslin."
