A Suggestion.
From the personal columns of the Denver Daily News we clip the following: Yesterday morning Mr. Hanchett the theatrical manager, accompanied by Miss I'annv B. Price, Miss Hancliett and a portion of their troupe left Denver for Cheyennp, whore they will play a short engagemet. We are sorry to lose these estimable people as well as to be deprived of the pleasure of their theatrical performances. Seldom have we met with a more courteous gentleman or more refined ladies the profession boasts of few who are their superiors. Mr, IT., with his many other good qualities combines the leading one ot an honorable man, who follows his calling legitimately and fulfills his obligations to the letter. We commend them all to our friends elsewhere, and hope they will meet t..e success they so richly merit.
Mr. Hanchett, being fully aware of the great advantages and attractions of Terre Haute, is now in the city with a view of permanently locating here, provided he can secure a homestead in our beautiful suburbs.
If ho concludes to make this his permanent home, the President and Board of Directors of the magnificent Terre Haute Opera House would consult their interest and serve the theatrical public by leasing the grand structure to him. He knows how to manage such an inititution.

Rev. E. F. Howe will preach at Centenary Church to-morrow morning, and the pastor Rev. James W. Greene, in the evening.

Services in the Congregational Church to-morrow at 11 A. M. and 7 P. M. Subject of the evening sermon, "The Relation of the Ministers of the Gospel to Politics." Seats free aud all are welcome.
Preaching at Asbury M. E. Church, corner of Fourth and Poplar streets, tomorrow at 10:30 A. M. aud 7:15 P. M., by the pastor, Rev. Jas. Hill. Class meetings at 730 A. M., Sunday School at 2:30 P. M. Puplic prayer meeting at 7:15 Wednesday evening.
The Legislature.
From a tabular statement iu this morning's Sentinel, we see that the Radicals have 47 members of the Lower House of the Legislature, and the Democrats 47 while in the Senate Radicals have 26 and the Democrats 23. This table for the most part is made up from the official returns. There can be but little doubt that the Legislature will stand in about that proportion, as corrected from the entire official returns.
This will be uncomfortably close, and during the entire session the prospect now is that there will be a spirited strife for the
mastery.
From the lastest news we have from private dispatches, ajid otherwise, Mr. Hendricks is elected by a small majority, and the remainder of the State ticket very close.
Teachers' Institute Adjourned. Amongotherbusiness transacted by the Teachers' Institute yesterday the following resolution was adopted
Resolved,
That we, the Teachers of Vigo

Also, that the thanks of the Institute are due to the Instructors who have so able conducted the exercises, and who have so largely contributed to the interest of the meetings.

If the Graut dynasty is elected on the first Tuesday in November, there will be thanksgiving on the part of said dynasty, but we opine that there will be a large proportion of the American people who will pray the Lord to have mercy on this afllicted country. Such a prayer cer tainly would be a pertinent one.

House Square claims that the Hon. Thomas M. Browne, Grant candidate for Governor of ludiana, was beaten because of the slanders circulated against him by his political opponents. So far as this city and county are concerned, Mr. Hendricks was greatly strengthened by the villificatiou and vituperative abuse of Mr. Grant's paper for when it formerly abused Mr. Voorhees in like maimer his majorities were always larger. Thiscampaign, however, Mr. Voorhees was libelled but little, heuce his defeat.

Magnetism as a Curative Agency. "Time overthrows the illusions of opinion, but establishes the decisions of nature." How striking the fact that in all ages the most ill portant discoveries have, on their introduction, been violently opposed. How great the storm of opposition against Harvey because he first asserted that the blood circulated through the arteries. But behold one of the greatest martyrs to the cause of science. See Galileo in the gloomy dungeon of the Inquisition because he invented an instrument that unfolds to the view of the astronomer new worlds— worlds floaing in space—but also universal beyond. Space would fail to show the vast number of theories that were once deadly opposed, but are now acknowledged facts, even among savane. Aud why this hostility among all classes to the inception of the good and the true? It is because they do not obiy the injunction, "prove all things, and hold fast to that which is good." These reflections are suggested by the presence of Dr. Darrin, the Healer, at theTene Haute House. He relieves the sick by a process that is opposed by those who know uot the wonderful effects. As the disturbance of the vital fires is the cause of disease, lie by some mysterious power restores the cqulibrium, and thereby imparts health. All classes show their appreciation of his valuable services by flocking in crowds to his rooms. Over a hundred visit his rooms daily for treatment. The trophies of his success are seen, not only in the grateful voices of those benefited, but by the many crutches in his room, left by those who have been cured of lameuess. Plow joyful the countenances of the ladies who have been relieved of deafness and spinal complaint. By his offer of kindness and the display of his rare power in the healing art, they were both restored to health. Words could not express their gratitude for such a blessing vouchsafed by a stranger. What can the opposers of this mode of practice say to such beneficient results? How is anything tested but by its effects, and are not the innumerable cases that have been seen in Europe or America of relief and cure, proofs possitive of the superiority of the doctor's mode of treatment? He pretends to give relief only in curable cases. Stubborn facts present an array of argument sufficient to convince all who are disposed to know the truth. We cannot conclude without mentioniug the cases of
Mrs. S. Hughel, Anderson, Iud., hip disease and female difficulties, had been on crutches one year cured and leftcrutches. P. Wilkins, 344 North East street, Indianapolis, paralized arm, two years cured and wife with piles thirtytwo years, also restored. Police officer Thornbrough's son, 196 North Mississippi street, Indianapolis, six running scrofulous sores, life dispared of, restored to health. T.
J. Gray editor Brazil Miner,
Brazil, Ind., rheumatism restored. Mrs. 8. Heuson,8 North Liberty street, Indianapolis, weak lungs and stomach, with difficut breathing restored. Sim. Gaston, Indianapolis, spinal complaint cured. R. C. Burtis, Augusta, seminal weakness and inflammation at neck of the bladder cured. Miss E. Ferry, Vincennes, fits and tumor restored. The above names referred to were cured about two years ago in Indianapolis by Dr Darrin, besides hundreds of others. Those requiring treatment will do well to call and see what magnetic hands can do for them. Examination free.
