A WONDERFUL DISCOVERY!

. Deodorized extract of Petroleum, ['he Only Article that AY ill Restore Hair on Bald Hoads. Iviiitt the World has been Wanting for Centuries. The prcnte!»t dl»cov<*ry of onr day. *o far as a rp«* portion of luinmnity !• concerned, is CAK bLINB t an Ariicla prepared from petroleum, und Inch effect! ;i complete and radical care i:i case of Illness, or where the hair, owing to diseases of ecalp, has become thin and tends to fall out. is also .1 speedy restorative, and while its use scires a luxuriant growth of hair, it also brings back natural color, and gives the most complete Batfaction in the usiiig. The falling out of the hair, [e accumulations of dandruff, and the premature ange in color are all evidences of a diseased ccn [lion of the scalp and the glands which nourish the ,ir. To am st these causes the article used must sess medical as well as chemical virtues, and the ange must begin under the scalp to be of permahit and lasting benelit. Such an article is CARLINK, and. like many other wonderful discovns, it Is f mnd to < >u d it of elements aim In ir natural state. Petroleum oil is the article |nch i* made to work such extraordinary results ; t it is aftei it h is been chemically treated and plotely deodorized that it is in proper condition the toilet. It was in far-off Russia that the feet of petroleum upon the hair was first observed* Government officer having noticed that a partially jid-headed servant of his. when trimming the |nps, had a habit of wiping his oil-besmeared ids in his scanty locks, and the result ivas in a months a much finer head of black, glossy hair he ever had before. The oil was tried on ses and cattle that had lost their hair from the |ttle plague, aud the results were as rapid as they re marvelous. The manes and even the tails of irses, which had fallen out, were completely rered in a few week-. These experiniei^ts were aided to the world, but the knowledge was prac* ally useless to the prematurely bald and gray, as cue in civilized society could tolerate the use of jflncd petrel’Uin r.“ a dressing for the hair. But the ill of one of our chemist-has overcome thedifflIty, and by n process known only to himself, he is, after very elaborate and costly experiments, sueidea in deodorizing refined petroleum, which iders it susceptible of being handled us daintily the famous au do cologne. The experiments with |e deodorUed liquid on the huma.i hair were atided with the most astonishing ic-ml; 0^ A few plication8, where th ’hair was thin and falling, r e remarkable tone and vigor to the scalp and Every particle of dandruff disappears ou first or second dressing, and the liquid so searchin its nature, seems to penetrate to the roots at re. and set up a rad.cal change from the * tart. It [veil known that the mo.-: beautiful colors ifrc jde from petroleum, and, by some mysterious ration of nature, the use of this article gratia|ly imparts a beautiful light-brown color to the which by continued use, deepens to a black, color retold ns permanent for an indefinite length ^limc, mill til*- cli’.nge is so •.••-.dm*! tlmi ike most W mite friends ( m s: arceiy d< !• ct its progress. Chief had turned up Fifth street on arriving at the crossing, and the other elephants were driven rapidly after him. On arriving at Tryon street he stopped a moment, and then went di rectly across to Church street, where i|e was secured by being chained to the other two elephants. The three were then driven down Tryon street toward the point whence they had started, followed by a crowd. The animals moved along quietly til! they arrived nt the market house when there was a united movement toward the pump. An effort was made to drive them on, but they refused to go, and the expedient of allowing them to drink was resorted to. In the movements about the pump, the chains became entangled, and the three began to go round and round, drawing them gradually together. Chief’s temper was again aroused, and he began to bellow The wild, wterd noise threw panic into the crowd, and there was a confused retreat. Finally, by the various use of goads and pitchfork::, the three elephants were made to take their respective places, and the slow march toward the tents was begun. At last they wi re gotten there und more securely fastened, but the ex citemer.t continued for four hours afterward the excitement continued. A half hour alter the accident King was breathing with difficulty, and his face was swollen and blackened. He had all the appearances of a dead man hut for the convulsive movement of his body caused by his painful efforts to breathe. His skull was cracked. King lingered till about eleven o’clock when he died. Mr. Lolow, the clown, said that King was

One line of their goods deserves especial mention, that of power shellers, feed cutters, feed mills, hay presses and haling machines, all of which were in practical operation.
