Advices are coming in constantly from 1 different parts of the country, showing that many wore killed or injured in the remote districts. St. Louis, April IB. — It is reported that nearly the whole town of Marshfield, Missouri, was blown down by a terrific wind-storm last evening, and then burned, resulting in frightful loss

of life.

From passengers who paused through Marshfield on the St. Louis and San Francisco railroad at 8:30 last night, a

I is also a speedy restorative, and while its use score* a luxuriant growth of hair, it nlso brings back he natural color, and gives the most complete eatfaction in the i»Hin;r. The falling out of the hair, he accumulations of dandruff, and the premature aange in color are all evidences of a diseased c»*a!tton of the scalp and the glands whlcta nourish the air. To arrest these causes the article used must assess medical a* well as chemical virtues, and the bange must begin muler the scalp to be of permaent and lasting beneilt. Such an article is CAR IOLINE, and, like ninny other wonderful discovtics, it is found to consist of elements almost in heir natural stare. Petroleum oil is the article rhich is made to work such extraordinary results ; ut it is after if h .s been chemically treated and ompletely deodorized that it is in proper condition Dr the toilet. It was in far off Russia that the ffect of petroleum upon the ha r was first observed, Government ofllcer Imvi.inoticed that a partially aid-headed servant of hi*, when trimming the pups, had a hab.t of wiping his oil-besmeared ands in his scanty locks, and the result was in a bw months a much liner head of black, glossy hair han he evi r had before. The oil was tried on iorses and cattle that had lost their hair from the attic plague, and tho results v ere as rapid as they fere marvelous. The n ones and even the tail a of Drees, which had fallen out, w ere completely ro* Medina few weeks. Tl.es** experiments were raided to the world, but !'.:«• knowledge was prac* tally useless to the prematurely bald and gray, as [o one in civilized society could tolerate the use of fined petroleum as a dressing for the hair. But tho (kill of one of our chemist-has overcome the dlffiulty. and by a process known only to himself, he as, after very elaborate and cosily experiments, sue* ieded in deodorizing r uined petr h um, which •enders it susceptible of being handled us daintily s the famouseci't dc cologne.. The «‘xperiineht* with he deodorized liquid on the human hair were atiended w ith the moat astonishing results. A few ppllcations, where the hair was thin and falling, tive remarkable tone and vigor to the scalp and hair Every particle of dandruff disappears on the first or second dres**in * and the liquid so searching in its nature, seems to penetrate to the roots at once, and set up a radical change from the start. It is well known that the mo«t beautiful color* art* made from petroleum, and, by some mysterious operation of nature, the nseof this article gradually imparts a beautiful light-brown color to the hair which by continued use. deepens to a black. The color remains permanent for an Indefinite length of time, and the change is no gradual that the most intimate friends can scarcely detect, its progress. In a word, it is the most wonderful discovery of the age. and well calculated to make the prema-

turely bald aud gray rejoice.

We advise our renders to give it a trial, feeling satisfied that one application v. id convince them of its wonderful effects. I'ittsbnryh. Commercial of
