3rd Saturday in April, IS.'l'J. Elder John 'Jones and Elder Thomas Broadstieet were Mmlerut'its, and Isaac Alspaugh Clerk on that occasion. Eleven members were in the constitution of this church, said members 1> ing dismissed from Deer 'Creek Church in good standing. The following are the names that were in the constitution of Mill Creek Church: Ahsolom Hurst and wife, Caleb Buis an l wife, John C. Sherrill, Jane Reader, Win. Barker and wife, Martha Branham, Eli/, abeth Cotton and Polly Nosier. All of these old pioneers have gone to rest except Polly Nosier. John C.Sherrill served th 'church as clerk for ten years, being present at every church meeting, except two. The next clork was Isaac Hurst, who served from JO to ’4!>. The next clerk was Eli Baldwin, who served as clerk from’P.) to ’76. Elder Joel Vermi,ion united with this chnreh in March, 41, and continued to be their psstor from that time until his health failed, which was about the year 18t>7. Theh Kldey Eli Beaman took the pastoral care ol the church, and has continued to serve the
