Luncheon The Community Club will meet for a Christmas luncheon December 11th at Torr’s Restaurant. Mrs. Mae Truax is the present president of the club and Mrs. Olive McCabe is vice-president. The same group met recently for the November meeting at the home of Mrs. Rachael Buis. Officers elected for the coming year included Olive McCabe as the new president. Jo Cox, vice-president and Sarah Goodin as treasurer. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Goodin of Mt. Meridian took their grandchildren, Debbie, Denise and Denette Myers back to their home in Lebanon Junction, Ky. over the weekend. They spent their Thanksgiving Day vacation here. Castle Squares Saturday night, Nov. 30th, was a gala night indeed for the Castle Squares in Greencastle. The Square Upeis of Brownsburg, Crosswalkers of Rockville, Square Busters of Crawfordsville and the Smile and Swing Club of Indianapolis along with many other guests all danced to the calling of John Holman and guest callers. Twenty squares plus danced and watched the graduation party for the local new dancers. Earlier in the evening, John Holmon and two squares from the Castle Squares entertained the elderly residents of the Asbury Towers Home in Greencastle. Returned Home Mr. and Mrs. Carl Borden have returned from St. Louis where they spent Thanksgiving and the week-end with their son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lange. Returns from Visit Mr. and Mrs. Norman Peabody have returned from Minneapolis Minn, where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Banburger. Morton O.E.S. Meeting Morton O.E.S. Past Matron’s Club will meet for a pitch-in supper and family night on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Gaile Steele. There will be a one dollar gift exchange. Legion A Christmas Party for the American Legion members and their families will be Monday, Dec. 9th at the Post Home. Each member is requested to bring a covered dish. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. and Santa will visit with the children following the dinner. Members should bring along a small gift for each of their children attending. Masonic Notice Called meeting, Cloverdale lodge no. 132 F. & A.M., Friday Dec. 6th at 7:30 p.m. Work in E.A. degree. Visitors welcome. Paul E. Dean, WM Tip-Toppers The Tip-Toppers Club held their Thanksgiving dinner with Mrs. Rosalie Allen. Songs were sung during the afternoon and prizes were won by Mae Truax, Olive McCabe, Sarah Goodin, Rosalie Allen and Olive Sutherlin.

Missionary The Missionary Ladies of the New Providence Church will meet for their Christmas pitchin supper at the Church. Dec. 12th at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Clifford Scobee and baby girl, Greencastle Junita Whitt, Danville Explorer scouts plan annual Sno-Ball dance More than 300 Explorer Scouts and their dates and guests are expected to attend the 25th annual Sno-Ball dance to be from 9 p.m. to midnight, Thursday, Dec. 26 at the Indiana Roof. Chairman Charles (Chuck) Tate, 1628 McCullough Drive, said the event has become the outstanding social event of the year for Explorer-age boys. A group which calls itself the Origin of Bleu (cq) will provide the music. “We’ve dropped the queen contest this year to provide more time for music and dancing,” Tate said. .Tickets will sell for $3.50 per couple until Dec. 21 when the price will jump to $5, Tate added. The boys will wear Explorer blazers and the girls’ dress will be formal, he said. Tate added that guests of Explorers are welcome. The Central Indiana Council Explorers also have invited Explorers from the Anderson Council. Boys from more than 50 Explorer Posts are expected to attend, Tate said. Tickets are available from Explorer Scouts or at the Central Indiana Boy Scout Council office at 615 North Alabama Street. The arrangements committee includes Tate, Bruce Blair, 4606 Cherry Lane, vice-chairman; William (Mike) Gloye, 7919 East 36th Street, promotion, and Miss Denita McCoy, 4828 Brouse Avenue, decorations.
