DEAR HELOISE: May I tell you about the perkiest nylon net idea that I’ve seen yet? It’s a fancy wire coat hanger made with 3*a "xS'-j" pieces of colorful nylon net. The pieces of net (approximately 165) are easily TIED all the way around the wire of a hanger and pushed together just as close as possible. No need to even tie them in a real hard knot. Just loop the net once and pull it tight, then push it up against the previous one added. The stem and hook part of the hanger- are wrapped with a narrow piece of velvet ribbon for a lovely, finished look. The good thing about this is the ends of the nylon rectangles stick out and make the fluffiest hanger to use for those special dresses because it absolutely won’t leave a crease across the shoulders. And truly great for hanging drip dries on because the net holds the garment away from the hanger so the air can circulate through it. Eastern Star

Oh, w hat a dream of an idea. And wouldn't they be just the thing for Bluebirds and Girl Scouts to make for church bazaars — especially as they don’t require any sewing at all. Bless your sweet heart for sending this in. Heloise * * * DEAR HELOISE: At wit's end to amuse the children ? Here’s a new way to use their coloring crayons which will fascinate ’em for hours. Hand them the uncolored comic pages of the daily paper, together with their crayons and a small square of ordinary window screen. A piece of screen about 6'' x 6" is fine. Bend under any protruding wires on the edges so little fingers won’t get stuck. Have them place the screen under the picture they want to color before applying the crayon to the paper. The "color dotted" result will keep them busily occupied indefinitely and re-awaken their interest in coloring. Howard S. Pyle * ♦ * DEAR HELOISE: Here’s a suggestion for coin collectors: To clean old coins, just take a pencil eraser and rub it on the soiled side of the coin. Before you know it. the coin is clean and the date can be clearly seen! Meg Kathman * * * Didn’t believe it at first, but it works! Heloise * * * DEAR HELOISE: Anyone having a hard time keeping shoe strings tied? Just put a tiny piece of clear cellophane tape over the knot, then tie the bow' and it will remain tied all day. How to cut oil bills
1. Have your oil burner cleaned and adjusted professionally. Like a car, it needs periodic attention. 2. Use a heating oil that helps keep your burner clean. In a clean, well adjusted burner, Shell Heating Oil can help reduce juel consumption significantly.
