Mrs. Earl Sutherlin and Mrs. Ival McGaughey visited Mrs. Elsie McBride in Rockville Tuesday and in the afternoon they attended the Bridge Festival. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Byrd of Ladoga called on Mrs. Kate Byrd Mon. night. Mrs. Carmen Gardner attended a Home Economic Club meeting near Wallace Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Thelma Grimes and Mrs.

Lillous Grimes spent Tuesday in Crawfordsville and also visited Mrs. Bill Craft and daughter and Mrs. Bill Watson and children. Mrs. Donnie Lyons and baby son were brought home Wednesday from the Putnam County
Hospital in Greencastle.

Mrs. Thelma Grimes attended a club meeting Wednesday after-
noon at the home of Mrs. Reginnia Shannon of near Roachdale. The Junior Class Play presented Friday and Saturday nights was well attended. The three act play "Tell it to Ethel" was directed by Mrs. Ted Miller. The cast included Kim Bushing, Donna Kay Fordice, Linda Grimes, Lana Lieske, Marty Boiler, Linda Keeney, Debra Thornburg, Dale McGaughey, Ronnie Rose, Mitchell Proctor and Shirley
Asher. Mrs. Francis Harbison and Mr. and Mrs. Tarney Wilson called on Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harbison and family of Greencastle Wednesday. Mrs. Phillip Carrington who had been a patient in Culver Hospital for several days undergoing tests returned home Wednesday. The annual Boosters Club Banquet and Business meeting was
held Monday night in the Christian Church basement. The smorgasbord was served by the ladies of the church. At the business meeting it was voted to donate for the new band uniforms for the North Putnam School. The election of officers for the new year are PresidentJohn Dunn, Vice President-Dean Bushong, Secretary-Betty Gillogly, Treasurer-Louise Gardner. Mrs. Nelle Phillips spent Thursday and Friday with her brother John Myers of Bainbridge R.R. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gardner were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Edwards and family of Lebanon
Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brewster and son Mike and grandson Gerald of Greencastle called on Mrs. Nelle Phillips Wednesday evening. Miss Peggy Gross of I.S.U. of Terre Haute spent the week end with her father Andy Gross. Mr. and Mrs. William Compton visited their daughter Mrs. Ann Rund and family in Minnesota last week. Mrs. Nora Dunn, Mrs. Margaret Sherrill and Mrs. Cecelia Fogarty all of Crawfordsville, called on Mr. and Mrs. Tarney Wilson Sunday night. The Ladies Aid of the Christian Church held an all day meeting
Thursday at the church basement. After the noon meal, a business meeting was held. The remainder of the day was spent quilting and cutting carpet rags. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Astin and daughter, Sharon entertained at Sunday dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hester, Mrs. Lula Grimes, Mrs. Lucille Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. James Dickerson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Hester all of Crawfordsville, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sinnett and baby girl and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Goff. The dinner was held in honor of Mrs. Astins mother Mrs. Walter Hester’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Myers and Nancy of Crawfordsville were
Saturday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelle Phillips.
Mrs. Carmen Gardner spent Saturday in Danville, 111. and attended the wedding of a niece Saturday afternoon there.
