Mrs. Ruby Powers of rural Ladoga called on Mrs. Nelle Phillips Monday afternoon. Mrs. Florence Jaus and Mrs. Edna McGaughey, Mr. and Mrs. Tarney Wilson were Tuesday evening supper guests of Mrs. Frances Harbison. The Fashion Blenders Club met Monday night with Mrs. Susan Leather man. Mrs. Vera Hopper returned home Monday from a two week visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Witt of Princeton. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hester called on Mrs. Lula Grimes Monday evening. Everett Graham, 68, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Carmen Nursing H o m e in Crawfordsville after a six months illness due to a stroke. A farmer in the Russellville and Waveland area most of his life was the son area most of his life. He was the son of Aaron and Ardilla (Hart) Graham born Nov. 28, 1898. He was a member of the Browns Valley Baptist Church and the Knights of Pythian of Russellville. Surviving are his wife Blanceh; two sons, Carroll of Waveland; Everett Lyle of Crawfordsville; 14 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and a a great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Zona Goodwin, a brother Blaine and his first wife, Oma. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Browns Valley Baptist Church with burial in the Russellville cemetery. Mrs. Grace Coleman, Nelle Phillips and Thelma Grimes, were Monday night guests of Mrs. Dora Shalley. Mrs. Frances Harbison visited Mrs. Florence Jaus and other relatives a few days this week and returned home Saturday. Max Pickel of Roachdale called on his aunt Mrs. Kate Byrd Wednesday. Mrs. Lillie Lookabill, 90, of Fincastle died Tuesday. She was a native of Putnam County and daughter of John and Anne Stultz Dodd. Her husband Lon died several years ago. Survivors were nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at McGaughey and son Funeral Home here with burial in Hebron County. Mrs. Harold Young, Mrs. Maude Garrett, Mrs. Monta Shoemaker and Mrs. Olive Baird all of Roachdale attended funeral services and burial rites for Everett Graham Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. John Lawson of Brownsburg, Mrs. Robert Lawson and granddaughter Lu Ann Lawson of Danville, and John Myers of Bainbridge called on Mrs. Nelle Phillips, Friday evening. Mrs. Howard Myers of Roachdale and granddaughter Miss Ann Carley of near Lafayette, called on Mr. and Mrs. Randel Grimes and Linda, Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Spener and family returned home Saturday from a vacation in Kentucky. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cox and son of Crawfordsville returned home this week from a vacation in Kentucky. Mrs. Laura Walsh is a patient in Culver Hospital atCrawfordsville. Shirl Evans left this week to work at the State Fair in Indianapolis. Among those from here attending the state fair Saturday were Linda Grimes, Debbie Wiatt, Mr. and Mrs. John Grimes, Wanenta McGaughey, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Switzer, Mr. and Mrr. Julian Stout and family. Mrs. Florence Jaus and Miss Roselyn Wilson of Indianapolis spent the weekend with v their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tarney Wilson. Thursday those who came with a picnic lunch and gifts to help Pearl Flock celebrate her birthday were Lucy Brewer, Cecelia Fogarty and Margaret Sherrill of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Edna Hazlett, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hazlett, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Compton, Mr. and Mrs. Tarney Wilson all left after having a nice time wishing Pearl many more Happy Birthdays. Mrs. Katherine Kelly was taken to Culver Hospital Thursday where si e had a small tumor removed from the bottom of her foot. She was brought home from

the hospital but has to keep it elevated for a while yet. Mrs. Mabel Patter received a nice letter and special note of thanks from Mrs. Linda McPeek of Indianapolis for the lovely flowers and comfort it brought her from the Russellville people who were perfect strangers to

her. Her husband was killed when his car struck a horse near Roachdale a few weeks back. At that time the couple was living in the Oscar Clodfelter home. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Byrd of Ladoga called on Mrs. Kate Byrd Wednesday night. The Pythian Sisters met Wed-

nesday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Pearl Flock. Due to the hot weather the attendance was small. Those attending were Nevo Grimes, Dora Shalley, Blanche Seybold, Lucille Kelly, Eleanor McGaughey, Bessie McCuthan, Lillie Jackson and Mary Francis Chesterson.

of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Miller of Portland Lake were Mrs. Lula Grimes, Mrs. Beulah Allgood and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hester. Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Dora Shalley were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Taylor, Ronnie Taylor

and girl friend all of Greenfield, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Denny Hoggett and family all of Brazil and Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson. Afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Andy Seitz, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Shalley all of Indianapolis

and Mrs. Dorothy Walters of Miami, Florida. Mrs. Helen Ford Stewart of Rochester, Indiana and son who had just returned from Viet Nam were visitors of Miss Ida Goff Saturday. She was a 191G graduate here and hadn’t been here for sometime to visit.
