Mr. and Mrs. Harold Emmons and daughter, Cheryl, Tip City, Ohio, were weekend house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bettis. They were dinner guests of Mrs. O.M. Thomas, Monday. Last rites for Mrs. Hattie Unger were held Monday at the Rector Funeral Home. Burial was in Carlisle in Sullivan County. The Unger family formerly lived in lullivan Co. We, the people of die Morton community, extend jur heartfelt sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Call, Mrs. Call’s sister, Mrs. Eva Fisher, and James Wagner and son, Dirk, spent a few days last week at West Branch, Mich., with relatives and friends. Clark Hendrick, Brick Chapel, had charge of the worship service Sunday morning at Union Chapel Church, due to the ab-

sence of the minister, the Rev. Patterson, who is on vacation with his wife and daughter. We enjoyed very much Mr. Hendrick’s sermon and were also pleased to have in the audience several members from Brick Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clevinger, Indianapolis, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Cay wood. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Stevens attended a birthday party in honor of Emery Roe at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Wehrman. They enjoyed homemade ice cream and cake. In the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stevens and family, Bainbridge, visited their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.Roscoe Stevens. Miss Brenda Harney was a

weekend house guest of Mrs. Maxine Callender. Mrs. Clair Albin, Mrs. Michael O’Hair and son, Mark, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Albin and children visited Mrs. Glen Clark, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Clark is slowly improving from a prolonged illness. Kathy Crawley, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Alex, ander, left Sunday for her home in Lawton, Okla., after an extended visit with her grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Clodfelter and daughters visited Gary Clod, felter during the weekend at Ft. Campbell, Ky. Gary is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Clodfelter. Mrs. Jake Martin is confined to her home with the flu.
