RFK telegram to Wallace INDIANAPOLIS ( U P I ) — Kennedy for President headquarters here Tuesday released the text of a telegram Sen. Robert F. Kennedy sent to former Ala. bama Gov. George Wallace. The telegram read; ‘‘I was saddened today to learn of the passing of Mrs. Wallace. She was a woman of faith and great courage who meant much to the people of your state. She was especially gracious to me on the occasions I had to be in Alabama. Mrs. Kennedy joins me in sending our sincerest condolences to you and your family.”
Voters stage protest
LAPORTE, Ind. (UPI)-Seven-teen irate voters who were left standing outside their polling place in a LaPorte precinct when the polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday staged a four - hour protest at the LaPorte County Courthouse. Donald Colburn, spokesman for the group, said all 17 arrived at the polling place between 6:20 and 6:40 p.m. but were not permitted Inside. The officials at the polls, when they stated the place was closed at 7 p.m., told the 17 that the election law states that the polls only have to allow two persons inside for each machine. The polls in question had only one machine. The 17 arrived at the court, house at 7:30 and vowed they would prevent the votes from their precinat being counted. Colburn said, “If our votes can. not be counted, no one's votes will be counted.” After speaking to several county officials and waiting for word that their precinct was Humphrey elected LONDON (UPI)-The Phar. maceutical Society of Great Britain said today it has elected Vice President Hubert Hum*
