DEAR FOLKS: It does my heart real good to get a Letter of Love from you, but I rarely print them even though they do keep me going. I’m always afraid youall would think I’d made them up. But I want to share a letter with you this onee because you sent so many more like it. “I read your column In the paper entitled, ‘Don’t Fall for Heavy Housecleanlng’, and I just had to write this note to you. Did that article hit home! “I’m the housewife who is forever dusting and scrubbing as though our house were going to be inspected. My meticulous habits even carry over to the children who have to look as if they are about to be entered in a fashion contest. “The article really hit home because I just got out of the hospital where I had been for a month with pneumonia. Now that I have recovered from that, the doctor has me on tranquilizers. “Believe me, you did more for me than a month's supply of those pills. “I truly believe I will take my housecleaning chores at a more relaxed pace — because “Heloise said so!’’ “Tomorrow is another day and perhaps my two girls and

Jumping-Jacks girls’ dressy school shoes can’t make up their mind.

Prices $6.95 to $10.95 You’ll find Jumping-Jacks* at Moore’s Shoes West Side of Square
I will enjoy it more because I won’t be so upset If things get a little out of kilter and everything isn’t just right. Thank you! Mrs. A. J. Funk Folks, we had so many responses to that column, I just had to share one letter with you. All I said was, "If you want an EXCUSE not to do it say 'Heloise said so,’ and don’t knock yourself into a tizzy or have a breakdown trying to have everything perfect. Nobody else does . . .” So don’t work yourself to death, gals, and keep in mind that THE SECOND WIFE ALWAYS HAS A MAID. We sure hope you’re all well now, Mrs. Funk. A great big God bless you. Heloise * * * DEAR HELOISE: My family loves avocados, so I buy several each week. But sometimes I only use half of one in a small salad and have to store the other half In the hydrator of my refrigerator. I have learned if I spread a coating of oleo over the cut edges that it doesn’t turn dark if I wait several days to use it. Result: No waste since I don’t have to trim off the dark rim of that delicious avocado. D. S. P.

DEAR HELOISE: Each spring I shorten my son's blue jeans with the worn knees to make summer shorts. At the same time, I use the back of the leg bottom to make two very large patches, large enough to cover the whole seat of the jeans. This double seat will see the shorts through the entire summer. By doing it all at one time, it saves having to spend the summer dragging out and putting up the machine to patch each pair as the seat wears through.
