INDIANAPOLIS ( U P I ) — Revisions of the state conven. tion format were considered today by the Indiana Republican State Central Committee. The revisions were recommended Tuesday by the party’s executive committee. Among them was a proposal to have the keynote address delivered the night of June 17 instead of the day of the convention, June 18. Under the plan, the speaker, as yet unnamed, would speak on the eve of the convention at Stouffer’s Inn. The convention then would open on June 18 at the Coliseum with adoption of a platform and voting for state office nominees. The executive committee also asked the full committee to ap.

The executive committee decided against recommending changes in the reorganization procedures of the central committee. A change had been suggested to delay such action until after the convention but the executive committee proposed that the or. ganization be May 15, the day after the district reorganization as the present rule provides. Attending Tuesday’s meeting were George Glass, Shelbyville, the new 6th District chairman, and Mrs. Debbie Smith, Millroy, the new vice chairman in the 6th, which had been left with-

pollution problem, according to two medical experts at a recent smoking conference at Auburn University. Dr. Ira L. Myers, state health officer, said more and more people are smoking despite efforts of health forces to discourage it. Dr. Robert Walton, of Lloyd Nolan Hospital, Pairfield, said a city with a great amount of air pollution took a survey and found that among nonsmokers 27.5 persons of every 1,000 had lung disease, while among smokers the figure was 127.6 of every 1,000.
