IN MEMORY In memory of Dorothy Chadd who passed away two years ago March 16, 1966. Mother, you are not forgotten though on earth you are no more. Still in memory you are with us as you always were before. You oft times said we’d miss you. These words have proved too true. We lost our best, our dearest friend. Dear Mother, when we lost you. We saw you fading like a flower, But could not make you stay. We nursed you with tender kindness Until God called you away, Oh, Mother dear, we loved you. Our hearts ache for you still, Forgotten by some others. But by us you never will. Sadly missed by children and grandchildren.

DEAR HELOISE: After cooking packaged puddings, put the pudding into the individual dishes and cover them with wax paper while they are still steaming. This will eliminiate that rubbery top which some children

dislike.

DEAR HELOISE: Some time ago you printed a hint to sew a small comb in the front of a hat to help keep it on. May I add my idea? If you make a small pincurl in your hair with a bobby then slip the tiny comb under the pincurl it will keep your hat even more

secure.

This also works extremely

well for nurses’ caps. MRS. E. BOWEN

IN MEMORY I Loving Memory of Kenneth N. Terry, who passed away 2 years ago. March 15. 1966. The Golden Gate stood open 2 years ago today. We had pain in our hearts and nothing to say. God knew you were ready and took you in His hand to guide you to His Holy Land. But God knows best He took you to Heaven to live and to rest. The past has not been taken away, and we still remember that long sad day. Sadly missed by wife, children and grandchildren.

tainers.

I buy only one plastic container and use it indefinitely by refilling it from a bottle of reconstituted lemon juice (which is less expensive than the little plastic lemon containers.) Just enlarge the hole in the plastic container slightly. Pour lemon juice from the bottle into a cup. Squeeze the plastic lemon until the sides touch (expelling the air) and place it upside down in the cup of juice. The plastic lemon will slowly fill with

juice.

MRS. A. W.

Shug. have you ever thought ; of prying that stopper off FIRST (I use a paring knife), then pouring your reconstituted i juice into the conatiner direct from the bottle? The snap cap can be reinserted easily. Saves time and washing that extra cup you use.

DEAR HELOISE: I got tired of lifting my portable sewing machine so I bought a typewriter table. It’s a perfect height and I can roll it around wherever I want to sew, then I just roll it into the closet when I have finished for

DEAR HELOISE: There was a lot of wasted space under my kitchen .sink because there were no shelves. I measured the height of my tallest can and bottle of cleaning stuff and added three inches. Then had my husband cut two boards that high out of a plank. These boards are used as side braces on each side of the cabinet. From the same plank I got him to cut me a shelf that would go all the way across the cabinet under the sink and rest on the braces. The shelf can be nailed to the side braces or just let the weight of the stuff hold it in place. These are easy to make and put in. The best part is they can be changed or moved without any trouble because they are not nailed to the walls of the cabinet. Now the cabinet under my sink is neater and I can see |
