sold in retail stores during 1967. I ; Sears identified four models of its “Gas Fired Baseboard Thru-Wall Heater in their lecall program. They are Homart Model numbers 133.72561 or 133.725611: 133.72562 or 133.725621; 133.72565, 133.725651; and 133.72566 or 133.725661. The plate showing these model numbers is located on top of | the burner box. It is suggested that users of these model heaters should contact the manager of the nearest Sears retail store or catalog sales office for assistance in identifying and replacement of the suspected heaters. According to Sears, if a heater is identified as being one of these potentially hazardous models, it will be replaced without charge. Sears decision to recall these heaters was based on a sample of suspected heating units in homes. The sample was initiated at the request of the Public Health Service and revealed that over 50 per cent of those units tested were emitting levels of carbon monoxide that could under certain conditions be dangerous.

U.S., S. Korea reach agreement SEOUL UPI — The United States and South Korea agreed today to coordinate their response to any future Communist North Korean aggression, a joint communique said. The communique was issued at the conclusion of talks between special presidential envoy Cyrus R. Vance and South Korean officials. President Johnson sent Vance Sunday to smooth over the resentment of some South Koreans who felt the United States was more concerned with gettin" b the captured intelligf ueblo and her crew thin i. m -ie Communists’ attempt to assassinate President Park Chung Hee. Vance, who helped smooth over the Cyprus crisis for Johnson late last year, headed home today saying he is satisfied with his results. “I think it has been a successful mission,” he said at the airport. “I am returning to Washington to report direct to President Johnson on the very useful talks I had here. The talks proceeded at all times in a most cordial and friendly atmosphere.” The joint communique said the two nations agreed to "promptly determine what action should be taken” under their mutual defense treaty If North Korean aggression continues. The nations reaffirmed “the commitment of the two countries to undertake immediate consultations whenever the security of the Republic of South Korea is threatened.” Vance had talked all night with South Korean officials. The unprecedented session started at 9 p.m. and wound up at 6 this morning. The communique said the two governments agreed to hold annual defense ministers meetings “to discuss and consult on defense and security matters of mutual interest and common concern.” Park “expressed his appreciation to President Johnson for his quick action in recommending to the United States Congress an additional $100 million of United States military assistance to the Republic of Korea,” the communique said.

Johnny Carson tells about the golf duffer, determined to improve his game, who bought a bucket of repainted balls at a driving range and teed up the first one with an air of grim determination. His roundhouse swing left the ball untouched, but his driver sailed out of his hands thirty yards down the range. Embarrassed, he muttered, “Guess I better get me another club.” “Another club?” jeered an onlooker. “Better get a BUCKET of them!”
