DUNK SHOT—Connie Hawkins, 6-8 Pittsburgh Piper star and player on the East’s all-star squad at Hinkle last night, was left alone just long enough to stuff this shot. The dunk as been out-lawed in high school and college ball, but the ABA boys still exercise the manly art.

Lock Out Cold Winds If winter winds cause drafts in your home and you're aware of uncomfortable cold spots around the house, the solution may be a change in your heating system. You'd be surprised how easily your home can be converted to comfortable, modem electric heat, and the cost is lots lower than you'd imagine, too. Get in touch with the folks at Public Service Indiana and find out how easy it is to enjoy the real comfort you've been missing all these years.

tfLfVtfP Tip If holiday candles left paraffin drippings on your good tablecloths, follow these simple steps before laundering. Scrape off the excess wax, press between blotters with a warm iron and then sponge lightly with carbon tetrachloride. It's a good idea to provide adequate ventilation as this particular cleaning fluid has harmful, though nonflammable, vapors.

Cloverdale captures 50th in a row

Cloverdale’s Clovers cinched their fiftieth consecutive regular season win last night with a ragged but hearty victory over rival Eminence, 83-70, In their first contest of the new year. They hadn’t seen any previous action since December 15 when they pasted Needmore for the ninth straight win of the present campaign, but they had little trouble knocking off the

Eels for the second time this season. They thumped Eminence 88-75 in their opener. Big 6-4 center Rick Ford, who averages 30 points plus per game, put through only 18 markers while opponent Kent Cooper of Eminence let go with 21 points for game high honors. Ford collected 34 against Cooper in the first game. The Clovers jumped into a 188 first period lead and bettered

it by out-scoring their host 2520 the second period and 26-22 1 the third. Eminence rallied and pumped in 20 points during the final period while the Clovers managed only 14, but the damage had already been done. Ford’s 18 points were followed by McCullough and Neese who tabulated 17 each, j

and Dearlove had 14 each, and, Brown scored 10 for Eminence. The Clovers are slated to play Rosedale Friday night and then meet Staunton at Br azil Satur- i day night. Individual sumarles:
