JUNGLE SEARCH GEORGETOWN, Guyana UPI —Two U.S. planes from the military attache in Caracas, Venezuela took part Tuesday in a search for Curtis Myers of Anthony, N.M., missing In a light plane since last Friday over the Guyana jungle. Myers’ son, David, flying behind his father when the Cessna plane disappeared, said his father flew into bad weather.
BAN PAPERS JAKARTA, Indonesia UPI— Indonesian Atty. Gen. Sugih Arto has banned two Hong Kong-based Chinese language daily newspapers, the government announced Monday. The papers, Ching Chi Tao Pau and Takung Pao, both contained “teachings running counter to the . . . moral principles of Pantjasila. Indonesia’s state ideology,” the announcement said.

Mrs. Rachel West and children, Patricia, Karen, Marsha, and Steven spent their Christmas vacation in Florida. They were the guests of Mrs. West’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lisby. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Await and sons visited during the Holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Pursell and their son Ralph. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Kress and daughter Patsy, Chicago, visited over the New Year holiday weekend with Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Ragan. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pruitt have returned from Texas where they visited their son Richard and Mrs. Pruitt’s son Drake. Murt Wade operated the Hardware store during their absence. Callers last w’eek on Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wells were Mrs. Lena Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wells, Joyce and Allen. Mrs. Meriboth Wells has been a patient in the Putnam County Hospital. Mrs. Alberta Gorham entered the Putnam County Hospital Wednesday. The Beechwood Plesant Circle met Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Charles Smith. Roll call was answered with members repeating ground beef recipes they were familar with. Mrs. Esther Quick read the paper. Refreshments were served to seven members and one guest. The February meeting is scheduled to be at the Robert Arnold residence. Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Coffin, Richard, Ruby, and Scott vi-
