Harry Moore says California is great to visit, but he sur* wouldn't want to live there. Harry joined the many Hoosiers who attended the Rose Bowl parade and game. He says traffic is terrible, prices are sky high, but all in all he had a wonderful trip. * * * Economic conditions in the United States have many economists worried sick. Which probably is a good sign. Economists are always at the peak of their form when the economy is booming. Prosperity gives them a wide area in which to point out trouble spots. Which is their main function. During a depression, of course, the trouble spots are apparent to everybody. So the economists are forced to point out bright spots. This makes their work a lot harder. As a rule of thumb, it can be stated that the trouble spots during prosperity outnumber the bright spots during a depression by roughly 27 to 1. Now, 1 don’t know that this is true since I'm not old enough to remember the last depression. But I have heard you older folks talk about it.
