Absentee voting explained

Burlng Boston's vietorj-. Then It was all over. But was it really? Perhaps the hits, runs and errors were all over. But was the story over? I maintain it was not. For if the sports events involving two squads was over, the human experience in Boston on this great Sunday for that city was just beginning. The old Massachusetts city was a “happening” Sunday—it had been a “happening” all through the agony with the Red Sox and their dramatic comeback. There was a wonderful story to be put on national television Sunday— jjve from Boston, a story that would have involved roving

cameras and reporters seeking out what a team had done to a sophisticated city. I would have liked to share that great day in Boston, live on television and perhaps for ; several hours. But Video went back to tape and film and ignored the direct, personal and human happening which had | captured the imagination of millions. I hope nobody is planning a program about it at a later date.

Most lightning flashes in an electric storm, however violent, occur in a single cloud or between two clouds.

Every vote makes a difference in an election. Absenteeism or confinement need not cancel out a registered voter’s chance to vote. Any citizen who will be absent on election day can take the following simple steps and make his vote count in the city general election Tuesday, November 7. The League of Women Voters of Greencastle pointed out today that, according to the Indiana Election Laws, any citizen who is a registered voter and expects to be absent from his county of residence on election day. or will be confined because of illness, may go In person to the county clerk’s office in the Court House be-
