Mexican paper reports 400 children dead MEXICO CITY UPI—Nearly 400 children have died of dehydration in the Texas border state of Chihuahua in the past three months, the newspaper “El Heraldo de Chihuahua” reported Tuesday. The newspaper said hospitals in Chihuahua reported the death rate doubled in July. It said the death list did not include those children who succumbed to pneumonia, which frequently strikes those weakened by dehydration.
