L&N seeks to drop two trains WASHINGTON UPI — The Interstate Commerce Commission will conduct field hearings in five cities, including one in Indiana, on a proposal by the Louisville & Nashville Railroad to drop two trains between Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis. The hearings by ICC Examiner Henry Whitehouse will Include one Aug. 24 at Evansville, Ind. Others will be held at St. Louis, Nashville, Mount Vernon, HI., and Hopkinsville, Ky.
