The Methodist Church held services at the Donna Nursing Home Sunday afternoon. Rev. Bastian was in charge of the services. Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Ray and Rhoddy arrived home from a 2%-week vacation to Expo 67, Ottawa, Quebec City and New York. Jenifer and Jeff Logan of Iowa City, la., have been visiting their grandmother, Mrs.
Mary Logan, this past week. Mrs. Martha Williams and Mrs. Frances Arnold called at the Grinsteiner Mortuary in Indianapolis Wednesday to pay respects to the family of Mrs. Mae Swope, a sister to Mrs. Herman Essex. Mrs. Grace McKeehan of Greencastle called on Mrs. Esther Fry Saturday afternoon. Officers of the Bloomington District Methodist Youth Fellowship are cooperating with interested persons from First Church, Bloomington, and professors from Indiana University in planning a Work Camp Project in Lucea, Jamaica, August 11-26. The project will include repairing the local Methodist Church and converting a large
parsonage into a training center where local girls will be trained as domestic help to work in the hotels and motels catering to the tourist trade. Classes in handicraft and group recreation will also be taught by the group and a survey of the local primary school system will be made. The Rev. and Mrs. James Bastian of the Cloverdale and Putnamville Methodist Churches will accompany the group as sub-district directors. The Clay- j Owen-Putnam sub-district will be well represented. A list of participating youth will be completed by July 18. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sinclair and girls of Indianapolis were
callers Saturday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sinclair. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Herbert entertained Mr. and Mrs. Charles Benbow and son Ronnie, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cline and Mrs. Alta Cooksey at dinner Thursday evening. Mrs. Calvin Church and Mrs. Frances Arnold attended the funeral of a friend, Oscar Byers, in Loveland, Ohio, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Query of Indianapolis visited over July 4th with his mother, Mrs. Eliza Query. Mr. and Mrs. Loran Stwalley and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith have arrived home after a week’s vacation in Alva, Okla., with relatives.
Mrs. Esther Fry visited over July 4th with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zachary of Ladoga. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Herbert were in Elkhart from Sunday until Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Mann brought Vet Mann from an Indianapolis nursing home to the Donna Nursing Home (No. 1) in

Ray at the Whitaker Funeral Home Sunday afternoon. We extend sympathy to the family of Mr. Ray and the family of Mrs. Mahala Huber in their bereavement. John Bates of Rockford, HI., came Saturday for a weekend visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Neier and Erwin. Mrs. Barbara Bates and sons had been visiting her parents for two weeks.
