—Mansfield (Continued from Page If The men were thrown agaixurt the windshield. The car, owned by Qua Stevens, a Biloxi, Miss., reetauateur whose place the Mansfield party left around 1 a. m. was driven "almost all the way under the truck," a highway policeman said. "It was smashed almost down to the floorboards,” he said. Stevens had loaned the car and Harrison, his chauffeur, to Miss Manfield for the trip to New Orleans, She was in town for an appearance on a noon-time television program, "Midday Show” on WDSU-TV, an NBC affiliate in New Orleans. The Mansfield party had reservations at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. The driver of the truck, Richard Rambeau of Pensacola, Fla., escaped injury. U. S. 90, on which the collision occurred, is known as Chef Mentuer as it approaches New Orleans from the Mississippi border and is a two-lane blacktop roadway known as a treacherous stretch of highway. The roadway passes mostly Mississippi resort towns and shrimp fishing communities in a marshy lowland next to the Gulf of Mexico.

Indiana is without any congressional districts after a three-judge federal panel declared the Hoosier districts unconstitutional because of toogreat variances from one-man-one-vote rule. While a bill is pending in Congress which would legalize the Indiana variances, it is not regarded as any immediate help to this state, or, at least, not any help which would be ef-fective—-if enacted — without some state legislative action. Meeting with Branigin Friday will be Lt. Gov. Robert L. Rock. Senate minority leader Marlin K. McDaniel, R-Rich-mond; House minority leader leader Richard C. Bodine, DMishawaka, and Bowen.
-Queen
Philip, will take part in weekend ceremonies in Ottawa marking the 100th anniversary of the Canadian confederation and will visit Montreal’s Expo ‘67 on Monday. The royal couple’s trip to Expo, however, will not include a visit to Montreal proper, nor will it take them to Quebec City. Both cities were the scene of demonstrations against the queen by Quebec separatists during her 1964 visit. Special riot squads were called in to disperse jeering crowds in Quebec City when the queen’s safety appeared in jeopardy. Several arrests were made. For his visit, Elizabeth’s fourth to Canada since she acceded the throne, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have pledged "all the protection it is possible to provide." After the Ottawa ceremonies the royal couple will board the yacht Britannia on Sunday to sail up the St. Lawrence River to Montreal. The royal yacht, sailed across the Atlantic ahead of the queen, will take the queen and her husband directly to MacKey pier at Expo so they can spend Monday there without setting foot In Montreal. The yacht will return them to Kingston, Ont., on . uesday and they will fly home on Wednesday.
