The alumni banquet of Cloverdale will be held Saturday, May 27. Registration will start at 5:30 p.m., and dinner is at 7:30 pjn. Classes of 1917 and 1942 will be honored guests. Send reservations to Mrs. Vivian Madden at Cloverdale. The Cloverdale Homemakers Extension Club met Wednesday afternoon. May 17, with Mrs. Edith Patterson. The club was called to order by the president, Mrs. Melba Haltom. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Mrs. Belle Lasley and the Home Economics Creed was led by Mrs. Esther Fry. The history of the song of the month, “Shenandoah,” was read by Mrs. Belle Lasley. Roll call was answered with a “favorite Baying when you become angry.” The reports of the secretary and treasurer were given and approved. The club voted to change the Cloverdale Demonstration Club name to the Cloverdale Homemaker Extension Club to coincide with the name of the state organization. The lesson on health and safety was given by Mrs. Esther Fry and Melba Haltom. A coin collection was taken. The club ad(oumed to meet June 21 with
Mrs. Morgan at the Community Building. The hostess served refreshments of punch, cookies and mints. The Past Matron Club of Cloverdale held its Party Time dinner at Torr’s Wednesday evening, May 17. Mrs. Mary Logan, Mrs. LaRue Gray and Mrs. Marjorie Bitzer were in charge of the meeting. The meeting was called to order and Mrs. Hallie Sipple returned thanks. Everyone did justice to a delicious dinner. Eighteen members and two guests, Mrs. Dorothy Farmer and Mrs. Alta Cooksey, were present Contests were won by Mrs. Betty Williams and Mrs. Mabel Herbert. Mrs. Mary Logan entertained with “The Story of Past Matrons Going to the County Fair.” She also read poems, “One Jewel," and “Memories of the Past.” Mrs. Mary Markin received the prize for holding the Lucky Napkin. The club adjourned for the summer and will meet Sept 17 with Mrs. Marjorie Hutcheson. Mrs. Gertrude Ziegelman and Mrs. Lula Michael returned home from the Putnam County Hospital Wednesday.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED OFF-STREET PARKING FACILITIES Notice Is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Greencastle. Indiana, has heretofore adopted a resolution approving plats, descriptions, plans and drawings, and finding it to be necessary for the proper protection of the public safety and welfare and of public utility and benefit to the City of Greencastle and its citizens, to acquire and improve the following described real estate for olf-street parking. Part of Lot Number 133 In the original plat of the Town, now City of Greencastle, bounded as follows, to-wit: Beginning in the center of the east line of said lot; thence north 51 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner thereof; thence west with the north line of said Lot 56 feet; thence south 61 feet, more or less, to a point due west of the place of beginning; thence east 56 feet to the place of beginning.
