The W.S.C.S. of the Methodist Church met Thursday afternoon, May 11, at the home of Mrs. Eva Ziegler with Nellie McCurry assisting. In the absence of the president, the vice president, Eva Ziegler, cailed the meeting to order. Mrs. Lillie Bastian led in prayer. This was followed by roll call and Bible responses.

Devotions were brought by Mrs. Tressie Turner and the program was given by Mrs. Agnes Stwalley. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary, after which a business meeting was held.

The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City . of Greencastle, Indiana will meet on the 6th day of June, 1667, at the City Hall, in the City of Greencastle. Mrs. Trixie Mann is improving at the Putnam Coutny Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. George Ogle of North Vernon were at the Donna Nursing Home visiting her mother, and at the Putnam County Hospital to see Mrs. Trixie Mann Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Mamie Cummings fell Saturday morning going to town and fractured her knee. She was taken to the Putnam County Hospital where a cast was applied to the injured limb. She also suffered a hand injury. Mrs. L. E. Michael has been in the Putnam Co. Hospital the past week. She is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coons of Indianapolis visited her mother, Mrs. Eliza Query, Saturday. Mrs. Minnie Sprinkle, James and Mermon spent a few days last week at their farm near Tell City. Miss Eloise and Percy Hamblin visited Sunday afternoon with their anut and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Herbert. Those coming a distance to
