More than 100 parents and friends attended the 3rd annual Art Exhibit Wednesday evening held at the Fillmore High School. The exhibit was very good and each year the work is more advanced. The school is losing a capable teacher, when William Meyer leaves for a bigger school. He served refresh-

four children present. Roll call was very interesting on “My Definition of Home.” Two contests given by Mrs. Lela Hunter were won by Mrs. Louise Smith and Mrs. Inez Pruitt. The hostess served tasty refreshments with very attractive favors. Mrs. Lela Hunter won the door prize. Next meeting will be June 6 with Mrs. Harold Pruitt Mr. and Mrs. Verl Ader visited Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ellett. The Stitch and Chatter Club met Wednesday afternoon with Miss Kate Oliver. Twelve members answered roll call with
“Flowers of the Bible.” Miss Bertha Coffin furnished the entertainment Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. The Social Circle met Wednesday evening with Mrs. Kenneth Robinson. A group of about 20 friends gathered at Bert and Betty’s Kitchen Thursday morning for a birthday party for Mrs. Ethel Byrd. Two kinds of decorated csike and coffee were served by Mrs. Miller. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wells were: Mrs. Mary Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Carl-
ton Cunningham and Susan of Greeneastle, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crews of Avon, Mrs. Ruth Brown and children of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wells and family, Marvin, Phyliss, Ronnie, ChEirles, Jr., Sharon, Joyice and Allen, all of Greeneastle. The Homemakers Club met Friday afternoon with Mrs. Ruth Smith. Mrs. Daisy Williamson spent Thursday night with Mrs. Ruth Smith. She visited Friday morning with Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Shuck and attended the Homemakers Club in the afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Frederick and family of Greeneastle visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Barker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Williamson were Saturday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Williamson, Greeneastle, and spent Sunday in Plainfield with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wallace. Miss Joie Lineberry and Mrs. Shirley Miller of Columbus, O., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Shuck and visited with other Fillmore relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Venice F. Lewis
of Indianapolis were Saturday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Smith honoring Mrs. Lewis’ birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wolfe and family attended the wedding Saturday of her cousin, Miss Peggy Waugh and Robert Hart in the Anderson Fifth St. Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pruitt moved last week into the home they purchased from Mr. and Mrs. William Craig. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swisher are moving into the Pruitt home w-hich they purchased recently.
A delicious covered dish supper W’as served at the Methodist Recreation Building Sun- ! day evening. After supper, group singing of spirituals was followed by a very interesting talk by David Feng about his country of Singapore. Next family night will be May 21st The Bible Club had a supper ' in the school cafeteria Friday night which was followed by a teacher-student basketball game (w-on by the students) and a sock hop.
