In loving memory of Russell L. Beams, who passed away April 19, one year ago. As we look up into God’s heaven of blue, If only we could say “Hello,” and “How are you?” If we could reach out and take your hand, We know that God would understand, Our loneliness and heartaches we could bear If only conversations we could share. Dear Gals: When you wash your hair in the kitchen sink and have lots of suds that won’t go down the drain properly—have you ever thought of turning on your disposal ? Just watch those suds disappear! (If you’ve got long hair, for heaven’s sake, don’t leave THAT in.) ■nils is also ah excellent Idea when washing out clothing and you end up with a basin full of foam. What have you got to lose except a flip of that disposal ? And for those of you who don’t have disposals—remember the kitchen salt shaker. Pick it up and shake away on top of the suds, and they deflate like a flat tire. Also works in overflowed washing machines and dish washers. Ever had that happen? Ugh! Heloise * * o • Dear Heloise: When my baby was small, his vitamin drops often ran out of his mouth before he figured out how to swallow them. I discovered that if I put. his pacifier in his mouth immediately after he took his drops, he would suck and naturally swallow all his vitamirs. Young Mom * * * « Bet that saved lots of stained baby clothes! Heloise • * * » Dear Heloise: For six years I tried to keep the paper In my kitchen drawers from sliding. I wrapped a piece of cellophane tape around a pencil with the sticky side out. Then removed the little roll of tape from the pencil and used one under each comer of the paper to hold the paper to the drawer. It works fine.
