'Clean' Nuclear Bomb Designed STOCKHOLM UPI —Swedish scientists today claimed they have perfected a design for the world’s first “practically clean” nuclear bomb. The Swedish Defense Research Institute scientists said however they doubt Sweden will build a nuclear weapon. One of them, Sten Andersson, said the bomb they designed would have far less radio active fallout than current nuclear weapons. “We have worked with this for four years now and as far as I know, no other scientist have developed a similar theory,” he said. Then newspaper Dagens Nyheter earlier reported the Swedes had built a model of the weapon. Andersson denied It, saying the bomb “exists on paper only and in our brains. Sweden has not, and will not, I presume, build a nuclear bomb.”

A Local Teenager's View (By Janet Staub) Even though Spring doesn’t officially arrive until March 21, on Monday of this week it looked like it was here. At the close of last week many people were out in shirt sleeves enjoying the warm sunshine. There were rumors that the Basketball SemiState would have to be postponed because of good weather! Stores are setting up displays of flower and grass seeds. In fact many people have started working on their lawns and flower beds. One unsuspecting soul suffered a very bad attack of the dreaded disease called Spring Fever. That person was me. After usual Monday activities I decided to clean our yard. (Ugh! what a way to have the Fever!) Since we live near the gym I found many programs from various games. Faded pieces of pompoms were tangled in with the dead leaves. One other treasure (?) that I found was a worm. It greeted me very nicely but I didn’t get close enough to see if it was smiling but anybody would smile if they had the Fever. While raking the yard an old friend happened to stop for a chat. While talking he told me that I looked like a WPA worker because I was leaning on the rake doing nothing. He also explained that I probably wouldn’t know what he was calling me since it was before my time, but I already knew what he was talking about because my mother has called me one many times!! BY THE WAY: With the winter weather that hit us Thursday my attack of the FEVER was gone!!
