Louse & Spouse Winners

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hartung won the Louse & Spouse charity tournament held at Varsity Lanes Sunday, Feb. 26. Their score was 720 plus 126 handicap— 846. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Sonny) Wood was second with 679 plus 160 handicap—839. Each couple will receive a trophy. The Indiana State Junior Bowling As-

sociation and the Putnam County Junior Bowling Association will each receive $14. Thirty-five couples entered the tournament this first year. It is hoped that twice that number will enter next year. The Putnam County Junior Bowling Association would like to thank all (local A.B.C. and W.I.B.C. members) who helped to make this tourney a success.

with 28 points, and brother Norman was next in line fof the Pointers with 18. Ron Rossok chipped in with 12, all in the first half. Big Mike Deck tallied 25 In a losing cause, most of them in the last half.

For the game, the Pointers converted 32-71 for .451. New Market was 13-49, for .265. Bainbridge controlled the boards, 40-28, and the Pointers committed 17 errors to the losers’ 26.
