To: ’rixe School Board of Clovardale Community Schools: I as a taxpayer of Putnam County and Oloverdale Township would like to be informed of the place or places of each and every meeting. It seems, as you, as a trusted board, has either misplaced your pencils or you, have lost all concern of the citizens of this community. I have not seen one statement, of any meeting or place of meeting in the several months, in any paper, which is a very economical and the place to inform one of an important project, which is all of concern of the people. I myself have no time to attend any of the meetings, for my occupation does not permit me to be free at evenings! If that is when the meetings are held. Also I see nothing wrong with stating the salaries of our administrators and advisors Of our school systems. I feel that the school board that I may have helped Meet is capable of making a good decision in spending our tax taoney, I therefore feel that, you, have no reason for keeping the people of this system in the dark of all the happenings of a business or of a special meeting. I should think that a business of this large, would and should be an interest of all to the citinens of the Oloverdale communi> ty. Very Concerned. ▲ Oloverdale Cktuen
III Memory In memory of the Reverend William Pat Buckner, who departed this life March 6, 1966. Pat Buckner left a legacy of inspiration and guidance in verse which can never be forgotten and his own words are of comfort to his family and many friends even today. Pat’s Epitaph When from this mortal form the soul has fled Beyond the fields of stars above, And I wait the Morn with old Barth’s dead. Insensible to bate and leve— May this be said Of me when I am gone, By those whose love 1 had held dear: "He faced with steadfast hope each new day’s dawn, Joy and pain alike—both gave him a tear. "He was just common clay and had his dreams, The same as all the sons of Earth. He had his plans and hopes— his cherished schemes--A child’s inheritance at birth. He had the trials in Life that others knew; And soars of traveling the road. Of times from weariness his head bowed low, When trudging with a heavy load. "He loved the singing brooks—, the flowers and trees, The beauty of the setting sun. He loved the melodies of birds and bees. He’s gone because his wofk is done. Of Death he had no fear nor thought to flee. Adventure’s spirit made him brave. He left with one dehire—that was to see What Life is like beyond the grave.’’ Fondly remembered by wife, Mrs. Mary Buckner, Wm. #at Buckner Jr., Georgs Henri Buckner, Mrs. Billy Wilson, Mrs. La Verta Terry, MTs. Catherine J. Howard.

Be sure plants have good drainage. Mrs. Joseph Frasca gave an infonnative and interesting lesson on Dress Materials. Most new fabrics should be dry cleaned, always press on the wrong aide of material. Nylons are better to buy than some of the newer fabrics but cotton material is the bast all purpose material and always read tak on all material or garments purchased. At the next meeting each member is to bring an article of clothing or toy for the box for needy families in Greencastle. Everyone is supposed to wear a hat of their creation or pay a fine of $1.00. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. The next meeting will be March 15th at 3 p.m. with Mrs. Glen Duncan with Mrs. Vem Lydick on the social hour.. Iona Goss News Reporter

ARE YOU GOING TO HELL? Some say there is no hell. Others make a joke of it, “That’s where my friends are, so I may as well join them.” Still others say their life is a hell on earth now. The Bible teaches that there is a hell hereafter to shun and a heaven to gain. Hell is a place prepared not for men but for the Devil and his followers. Only those who ignore every plea from God and insist on following the Devil will share his doom. God pleads with men to turn from sin to Him. He pleads by radio and television, by pulpit and pew, by family and friends, by Bible and book, and even by newspaper as at this moment. He pleads quietly within man’s own conscience if one will but listen, and He cries aloud from a Cross if only one will hear. But if one ignores every red light and crashes through every barricade He erects across the road to hell, one can go there. Better pause and take heed. Let us see you in church this Sunday.
