•PTA Alert “Education is Our Business’* is the Northeast Elementary School PTA theme for the school year 1966-67. Making education our business, parents must be informed about education bills that are being discussed in the 1967 Indiana Legislature. Mrs. Patrick Aikman, Northeast’s Legislation Chairman, recently attended a PTA Legislation Conference at the Sher-aton-Lincoln Hotel in Indianapolis. Our government is only democratic and representative as we ourselves are responsible and attempt to keep ourselves informed. The Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) is one organization, which has done much for the education of children in the U. S. It’s Conferences are among the finest in the world on content and subject matter. The national PTA has as one of its objects, “to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.” Mrs. Tom Gorham, PTA Health Chairman and Mrs. J. L. Stamper, Northeast’s PTA President were in attendance. Mrs. Aikman and Mrs. Earl Voss have announced a PTA legislation presentation to be held Feb. 15 meeting at Northeast School. Rome of the school legislation will be discussed. Other members of the community are invited to participle and bring their questions.

STATEMENT OF BELIEF WE BELIEVE: 1. In one God — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 2. In the plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, and that they contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living. 3. That man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually. 4. That the impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost. 5. That the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the domin- . ion of sin. 6. That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 7. That the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth and also to the entire sanctification of believers. 8. In the return of our Lord, in the resurrection of the dead, and in the final judgment.
