es. They came on Christmas Eve. I sure was happy to see them.

I can’t tell you how it makes me feel to know that everyone is thinking of me while I am away. I sure think about everyone at home and wish I could be back with you. That will come someday not too far off. I was going out on operations quite a bit around Christmas. Lately, we have been staying around base camp. We are trying to get our tents fixed up and our equipment ready to go out again. We should go back out in the field in two or three weeks. I went to church this morning. Our chaplain is really a wonderful man. I really enjoy going to his services. We had a Christmas Eve service. I will send you the folder so you can get an idea of what our service was like. It was really nice. It was the first service to be held in our new chapel. I must go now, but I want to thank you again for remembering me. God bless you, Sgt. James Mandleco US 55822302 Hq. OBITUARY

Lessie Francis Cox, daughter of James and Harriett Cox, was born Dec. 10, 1888, and passed to her reward Jan. 19, 1967, at the age of 78 years.

In 1919 she was united with the New Providence Baptist Church. She has attended the Church of the Nazarene in Greencastle for the past 25 years and, in 1965, transferred her membership to the local Church.

She leaves to honor her memory, her sister, Goldie Hamilton, of Greencastle, with whom she had made her home for the past 25 years. Also, she has another sister, Florence Neider, of Akron, Ohio. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death: Ida Newman, Emma McCanimack, Clovie Cox, Alva Cox and Ernie Cox.

The Victors They have triumphed who have died; They have passed the porches wide. Leading from the House of Night To the splendid lawns of light, They have gone on that far road Leading to their new abode, And from curtained casements We watch their going wistfully. They have won, for they have read The bright secrets of the dead; And they gain the deep unknown, Hearing Life’s strange undertone. In the race across the days They are victors; theirs the praise, Theirs the glory and the pride— They have triumphed, having died!

The big gasking shark is probably the least dangerous to man, says the Miami Seaquarium.
