Riley Hathaway Rites Thursday Funeral servicea for Riley Hathaway, 78, Reelsville, will he held Hmrsday at 2:00 p. m. at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Greencaatle. Interment will be in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. Mr. Hathaway died Tuesday at the Putnam County Hospital. He was a retired salesman, and a member of Temple Lodge No. 47, Greenoastle. Survivors are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:00 p. m. today.

RebekaS Lodge Installs Officers Bee Hive Rebekah Lodge No. 106 of Greencastle met in regular session Monday evening with seventeen visiting members present As part of the business the annual installation services were conducted in an admirable manner by the District Deputy President, Mrs. Madelyn Kelly and her Installing Staff, all from the Fillmore Rebekah Lodge No. 652. The entire staff were Past Noble Grands. One of the group, M*s. Flossie Alexander is a state officer. She is the Inside Guardian of the State Assembly. Waggoner Rites At Indianapolis Herman C. Waggoner died Tuesday afternoon at the Crawford Hotel where he had resided for *om« time. He lived in Putnam County for 40 yean and was a World War I veteran. Mrs. Ruby Hamm Funeral Friday Mrs. Ruby Floranea Hamm, 61, passed away Tuasday afternoon at bar residence in Owen County. She was born November 29, 1905, in Putnam County, the daughter of Pstor and Effie Taylor Sutherlin. She was married to Burt Hamm, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hamm was a member of the Millgrove Methodist Church. Survivors are: two daughters, Mrs, Jane Carpenter, Greencastle, and Mrs. Alma Jean Evens, Coatesville; two sons, James, Gosport, R. 1, and Russell of Rosedale; five brothers, Ralph Sutherlin, Cloverdale; Emmett, Raymond, Woodrow and Charles Sutherlin, Greencastle; four sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Query, Mrs. Mary Sheldon, Mrs. Marjorie Reed and Mrs. Maxine Hill, all of Greencastle; and eight grandchildren.

Message For Russ MOSCOW UPI — Llewellyn Thompson, the new U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union, arrived here today and said he was carrying a message from

President Johnson to the Russian government. He refused to disclose the contents. Johnson in his State of the Union message Tuesday night called for better ties with the Kremlin, and on his arrival Thompson expressed optimism that U.S. Soviet relations would improve.
