Helmets Required INDIANAPOLIS UPI — A new Indianapolis city ordinance requiring two-wheeled motor vehicle riders to wear crash helmets became effective today. Police said no warning stickers would be issued to violators and arrests would be made effective immediately unless riders are wearing helmets made of metal or fiberglass With padded lining. The ordinance permits fines of up to $100 and jail sentences of up to 10 days.

4 H News The first meeting of the Willing Workers 4-H Club was held Monday, October 3, at Clinton Center School at 7:30 p.m. President Judy Stevens called the meeting to order. The pledge to the American Flag was led by Debbie Grassick. Davonna Eckert led the 4-H Flag. The election of club officers was held. They are as follows: President, Judy Stevens; vice-president, Linda Phipps; secretary, Kathy Reynolds; treasurer, Lynn Farrow; news reporter, Davonna Eckert; health & safety, Nancy McGaughey; song leaders, Carolyn Davis, Becky Tippin; recreation, Karen Farrow. Lina Eckert. Mrs. June Harbison is the j leader until January 1, then Mrs. Almeda Farrow will take | over. There were several new members this year. Last year’s officers got pins to wear with their office name on them. Dues are the same as last year, $1.00. The next meeting of the Willing Workers 4-H Club is November 7 at Clinton Center School.
