Clerk Victor C. Drook lacked $19,732 having enough cash on hand to balance his records. The time of the examination covered was Jan. 1, 1961, to

June 6, 1966.

Chief examiner Richard Worley said “the bulk of this cash shortage is in fish and game fees not receipted to records.’’ The report showed that Drook in 1964 failed to send to the Indiana Conservation Department

and game fees: In 1965 failed to send $7,382. and in the first six months of 1966 the sum of

$11,085.

A further item of “cash necessary to balance,” Worley said, is $1,061 in commissions due Grant County and not receipted to records. Worley said that totals $29 - 374. But he added that Drook made deposits after the examination of his books began which reduced the amount to $19,674. However, examiners said they corrected errors m posting involving a minor sum.
