Hie Birthday Bridge Club enjoyed a delicious smorgasbord dinner Saturday evening at the Collins Inn. The officers, Mrs. Nellie Denny and Mrs. Edith Allen had decorated the long table with bowls of flowers and pretty place cards. Five games of bridge were played after dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Davies and son. Bobby and Mrs. Davies’ mother. Mrs. Carrie Kendall have returned home after a two week camping trip where they visit the Indian Reservation in the Bad Lands, of South Dakota. also the Black Hills and the Yellowstone Park. They enjoyed their camper very much. Rev. Lutz and family of Michigan visited with friends here one day last week. They were on a vacation trip enroute to New Orleans, Rev. Lutz was
the Methodist minister here several years ago. They now have six children and the oldest boy is being called to the service. Mrs. Maude Crodian and Mr. | and Airs. Willis Dickson ac-! companied Air .and Mrs. Paul Crodian of Indianapolis, to Bloomington last Tuesday, where they visited the campus and Monroe Reservoir and enjoyed a picnic dinner at a park. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wallace and family have moved from Indianapolis to the house recently vacated by Roy Wayne Hanks, in the Solomon addition. Suzanne and Jennifer Johnson of Indianapolis were guests last week of their grandparents, Air. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson of Griffith, Ind., were over night guests of the John-
aona on Friday. Mr. Nelson la a cousin of Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Lorraine Young of New Winchester and her sister, Mrs. Juanita McMurtry visited last Tuesday with friends and relatives in Roachdale, Ladoga and Lebanon. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Dickson of Indianapolis and their son, Dale and family of Cambridge, Ohio called on a number of relatives and friends here Saturday afternoon and evening. Quite a large crowd attended the Alethodist Sunday School and Church picnic at Robe Ann Park in Greencastle Sunday. They enjoyed a good dinner and the weather was perfect. Miss Susie Garrett has returned home from Miami, Fla,, where she spent the summer with relatives. Mrs. Jessie Hanks, Mary Lynn and Linda and Air. and Mrs. Ted Bock and family spent Monday in Kansas, 111., where they visited Air. Adin Babe, a genealogist, Mr. Baber has written several books on the Hanks and O’Hair families, also the life of Abraham

Mrs. Frances Cunningham was honored with a birthday dinner Sunday when sixteen of her relatives came from Indianapolis and other communities. Mrs. Arthur Weller is home from the hospital and her condition is much improved.
