Mrs. Rose Ellen Tanksley and family spent Tuesday with her mother, Mrs. Avaril Huller. The girls, Susie, Marsha and Patty Newkirk stayed for the rest of the week. Gilbert Knetzer re-entered the Putnam County Hospital Sunday evening. Mr. and Ms. James Lones and daughter, Jill left Monday for their home in Lakeland, Florida, and spending ten days with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Evans and other relatives. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Evans and daughter were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pritchett and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pritchett and son of Advance; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Evans and son of Roachdale; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Evans, Greencastle; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans and son, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Evans, Mr. and Mrs. James Lones and daughter, Jill, Florida, and the Howard guests. Mr. and Mrs. David Grimes Jr. and family of Clarinda, Iowa, spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. David Grimes Sr. General WSCS meeting will be Thursday, July 28 at the Recreation Building. Wednesday visitors of Mrs. Ruth Smith were Mesdames Mabel Huskey and Pauline Stigler of Brazil. Mrs. Hallie Magill, Miss Julia Anne Gordon and sons, Rex and Hugh spent Friday, July 15 in Worthington visiting Mrs. Geneva Landis. Mrs. Ruth Nichols spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Nichols and Betty Jo. Mrs. Grace Albright and Mrs. Ruth Smith visited Friday afternoon with Mrs. Ruth Sutherhn. Lonnie Hubbard spent last week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Barnhardt of Whiteland. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Evans and Mr. and Mrs.Maurice Bryan attended the Wells Reunion Sunday at Robe Ann Park. Recent callers on Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wells were Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Bryan, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Cunningham and daughters, Susie, Carol and Mazy, Green castle; Mrs. Ruth Pritchett and daughter of Lizton, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crews of Avon, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wells and family, Greencastle. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Arnold and daughter, spent Sunday evening with Ida and Charley Day. Callers on Mrs. Ida Day and Charlie, were Mrs. Doris Fredrick, Rev. Wilbur Day of Knightstown, Witt Wright and Miss Ruth O’Hair and Rev. John McFarland. Gary Arnold of Advance has visited two weeks and his sister, Patricia, has visited one week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil C. Arnold. Mrs. Ruth Ragan had a hard fall on Friday, July 15th, injuring her knee and cutting her head, which took six stitches to close. Mr. and Mrs. Don Davis and daughter of Kokomo, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Barker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jones and family of Washington, spent a recent week with Mr. and Mrs. Forest Jones and other Indiana relatives. On Tuesday a tree limb hit Oren Buis on the head and it required six stitches to repair the damage. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ragan and family of Minnesota arrived at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Ragan early Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold and family of Advance spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Arnold. Mr. and Mrs. Max West and daughters spent the weekend in Worthington with Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Feuque and family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Day and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Day attended the wedding at the Putnamville Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon of Miss Sandra Hansell and Steven Smiley and the reception which followed on the lawn of the bride’s parentsj The refreshment table was placed before a bank of flowers.
