Typist Is Type To Type But She Can't At Home
ROBERTA ROESCH Other Possibilities
Roberta Roesch:
Hovr can I earn money at heme?
Aa the mother of five children, it is vital that I do something to bring in some extra cash. I would like to do it by typing, since I am an experienced typist. But opportunities to do this work at home are very scarce where I live, so I need some other suggestions.
Mrs. W. B.
Dear Mrs. W. B.: If typing at home is impossible, you might try earning extra dollars from some of thse other activities women at home have turned into cash.
Here are a few suggestions: telephone salesmanship; dressmaking; mending, alterations and repair work; photography; flower arranging; rugmaking; monitoring TV commercials; conducting a gift service; working a a credit investigator for a credit bureau; operating a
used clothing exchange; or caring for the children of working mothers while you are home with your children.
Legal Clearance If you decide to run a home service, though, talk with a lawyer and your local town clerk, so you won’t run into trouble with zoning laws or other regulations that govern home services in the area where you live.
Dear Readers: It is wonderful the way you respond when I make a request from this side of the column. As soon as I mentioned that I would like to hear from button collectors who know of publications that will help new button collectors get started, I heard from Elizabeth Craig Stewart of The Home Port, Stinson
Lake, New Hampshire, almost Immediately.
When lbs. Stewart wrote me, button collectors were holding a

big annual “button picnic,” attended by dealers from all over the U. S., at The Home Port But she still took time to send along the following information. Dear Roberta Roesch:
I suggest people who are interested in buttons write to Mrs. Robert McCreight, Jr, Secretary, The National Button Society, 7940 Montgomery Ave., Elkins Park, Philadelphia, Pa. 19117.
State Clubs Newcomers to this hobby will also find that there are state button clubs in most states.
In addition, there is an annual meeting of The National Button Society. This year it will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, in early October. Mrs. E. C. S.

NEW YORK UPI — Purcell, Graham & Co. believes stock prices will decline whether or not a near-term rally develops and says technical indicators are poorer now than in midMay or June.
The company believes the present market is one in which traders seem to be waiting for an excuse to sell off and that such a reason could come from many quarters, such as a change in the international situation, the prospects of a further tax increase or possible devaluation

On the other hand, Kennedy Ward of Hayden, Stone Inc. feels this does not seem like the time or type of technical formation that precedes a serious decline and cautions against becoming too bearish. He recommends taking advantage of present declines to purchase issues that have established a strong uptrend or have reached undervalued price areas.
