TRIP TIP
Planning a vacation? Don't forget to inform the milkman and paper boy you'H be gone and for how long. Telltale milk bottles and newspapers are a sure giveaway to house breakers. Be sure to have someone pick up your mail, too. In fact, it's a good idea to leave your house key with a neighbor or relative so that they can look after things.
LIGHTS ON Whatever the length of your vacation, leave a light on to discourage house breakers. Law enforcement agencies tell us a bathroom, bedroom or kitchen light is best The cost in electricity is just a few pennies a day and the protection light provides is well worth it
HOOSIER HAPPENINGS It's "fair" season again. And aM over the Hoosier state, ferris wheels, 4-H judging and cotton candy are beckoning thousands of folks to "Come To The Fair." Here are some of die fain being held between July 25th and 30th. Bartholomew County 4-H Fair, Columbus Jefferson County 4-H Fair, Madison Hancock County 4-H Fair, Greenfield Martin County 4-H Fair, Loogootee Owen County Fair, Spencer WHERE DID WE HEAR THIS? DEPARTMENT: Now that I'm getting married, there'll be no more TV Dinners, eating out of cans, or expensive restaurant meals.
LITTLE SWEEPER Keep a toy broom in the cur. ft's just the right size to get in those hard to reach places where road dust and sand collect Add a little sour cream to your next shrimp cocktail sauce for a different taste treat To improve flavor of onion soup, add small pieces of chicken or beef.
