Georgia Police Hold 2 Hoosiers ATLANTA, Ga. UPI — Two Indiana men remained in Fulton County Jail under bonds totaling $20,000 each on charges stemming from discovery of cache* of stolen automobiles. Special agent Joseph K. Ponder of the Federal Bureav of Investigation said Monday that federal charges of transporting stolen vehicles between states and local charges of selling

stolen cars were pending against Curtis Lincoln Berry, 32, Gary, Ind., and Walter Thomas Ball, 30, Hammond Ind. Ponder said the two were arrested in Greenville, Ga., last Thursday by state patrolmen and Meriwether County sheriff’s officers. They were arraigned on the federal charges Friday, waived preliminary heari ings and were put under $5,000 bonds by U. S. Commissioner Frank A. Holden. The Atlanta police held outstanding warrants for which bond was set at $15,000 by the

Fulton solicitor's office. Ponder said. Examination of two expensive cars the men possessed when arrested and four more recovered in Atlanta and Columbus, Ga., showed the Identification numbers had been altered, Ponder said. - The cars were reported stolen in the Chicago area.

Ho Break In Airlines Strike WASHINGTON UPI — Negotiations to end a crippling sixday airlines walkout affecting thousands were at a standstill

Bargaining collapsed late Tuesday when the International Association of Machinists (IAM) broke off the talks on the grounds Northwest had violated a previous agreement of no reprisals. The seven LAM workers are based in Tokyo. Assistant Labor Secretary j Janies P. Reynolds told reporters the wage and fringe benefit negotiations would not ba resumed until the Northwest issue had been settled. It it wasn’t settled, he warned, the negotiations would be "in difficulty.**
