Feminine persistence has paid off in num-
bers of instances of better labelling and services. Still, there’s always room for improvement. Ask any house-wife-shopper, or look at the latest collection of '‘why don't they?” suggestions from some of the 85,000 homemaker consultants who work part time for National Family Opinion, a Toledo, Ohio, market research firm. For instance: Why don’t they
put baby foods in she packs? This would be easier to serve the tots, one homemaker suggested, “especially when you have one child in your arms, and two hanging on your coat.” Some others from the research firm and my own gripe file: Why don’t they?— Sew wide hems on both ends of all bed sheets. Thomson A McKinnon says the market simply continues to remind the firm of its own vulnerable condition as it has on a number of occasions in recent weeks.
