Bride Of Five Days Perishes PAINSVILLE, O. UPI—A 17-year-old bride of five days burned to death Thursday when She was trapped in a rented house trailer. Fire officials said a defective heater caused the blaze in which Mrs. Judy Hayes died. The victim and her husband, Charles, 19, were married last Saturday at the bride’s horns in Rosemont, W. Va., Charles was at work when the Maze started. *T Just can’t believe it,” her husband sobbed as he gazed at the gutted trailer. Hayes cams to Painesville five weeks ago because he had a cousin living there. He went back to West Virginia for the wedding Saturday. Following a big church wedding, the couple honeymooned in their home state and then drove here Wednesday, their auto loaded with wedding gifts.
Airlines Action Taken By CAB WASHINGTON UPI — The Civil Aeronautics Board Thursday deleted Lake Central Airlines service to the Marion, Ind., Airport and ruled that the city will be served through the Kokomo Municipal Airport. The board also decided to continue Lake Central’s service at Portsmouth, Ohio, on the line’s east-west route and at Lima, Ohio, on the Cincinnati-Detroit route. Also retained were the carrier’s routes between Bloomington, Ind., and Indianapolis, and between Kokomo - Marion - Logansport - Peru regional air-
port and Cincinnati via Muneie-Anderson-New Castle, Ind. Lake Central will be allowed to serve Lima and Columbus, Ohio, on the same flight. The two cities now must be served on separate flights because they are technically designated as alternate intermediate points. Under today’s decision they are redesignated as consecutive intermediate points. Lake Central also was authorized to operate non-stop flights between Baltimore and Cincinnati, and between Baltimore and Indianapolis with the proviso that no subsidies will be paid. The airline now is authorized to operate one-stop flights between Baltimore and Cincinnati and two-stop service between Baltimore and Indianapolis.
WET CITT WASHINGTON UPI — Conakry, capital of Guinea, has an average yearly rainfall of 169 inches, reports the National Geographic Society. This compares with 43 inches in New York City and 7.6 inches in Phoenix, Ariz.
