Stop Thief NEW YORK UPI — “Lady Mulgrave” is back on the wall at the Metropolitan Museum today, after a scuffle with an audacious would-be thief. A museum guard Friday spied a young man prying the classic Gainsborough portrait loose from its fastenings. A shout from the guard, and the art thief ran, dropping the tiny, invaluable work. Museum authorities sealed off all escape routes, but were unable to find the man.
