sources had reported to UPI three weeks ago. Veteran space pilot Stafford and rookie astronaut Cernan are expected to fly three days in orbit. The trip will include another attempt to rendasvous and link up with an unmanned Agena satellite 185 miles above earth and a walk in space of more than two hows for Oman. liftoff time for the Agena rocket aboard an Atlas booster at Cape Kennedy was set for 10 a. m. EST May 17. If all goes exactly on time, Gemini 9 will leave launch pad 19, exactly one hour, 39 minutes, nine seconds later. This will be America’s second manned apace spectacular of the year and the seventh manned flight in the *1.4 billion project Gemini The only prePlane, Train la Collision RICHMOND UPI — A freak collision of an airplane and a train Monday at Richmond injured two men, neither seriously. The single-engine Piper 140 was approaching the East Richmond Airport for a latuUng udia apparently a gust of wind forced it downward. The plane’s landing gear ripped a hole In the roof of the engine of'the train, a Pennsylvania Railroad freight, en route from Indianapolis to Cincinnati. The plane then crashed about 100 feet away In a creek bank. The occupants, Gary Nichols and Robert Elliott, both 29 of Richmond, were taken to a Richmond hospital. Nichols was identified as a flight Instructor for the BAB Flying Service and Elliott was identified as the student pilot operating the machine. The train’s crew included T. W. Tilmus, engineer, and D. DOburn, conductor, both of Cincinnati.
viousty flight of the year—an intended three-day voyage by Gemini 8’s pilot NeM Armstrong and David Scott—ended after less than 11 hours on March 16 because of control thruster trouble. Gemini 9 will attempt to do many of the things originally planned for Gemini 8, including a space walk that may take Cernan as far as 125 feet from the nose of bis ship on a tether. Charles M. Mathews, Gemini program manager, said Cernan may remain outside the spacecraft for as long as 2% hours as Gemini 9 makes nearly two complete trips around earth. Stafford will play a key role in the planned attempt to tie up with the unmanned Agena. Armstrong was successful in a similar effort during the voyage of Gemini 8.

The case for our oil
Many oil companies need a special motor oil to meet military requirements. We don’t. Our motor oils are that good in the first place. We’ve upgraded all Marathon V.E.P. motor oils to exceed the tough new performance specifications of G.M., Ford, Chrysler, and A.M.C. We try to put a little something extra into all of our products. Because, as far as we know, we’re still the only oil company to guarantee your satisfaction with everything we sell and all our services. What if you’re not satisfied? Tell us. We’ll send your money back. A lot of people think that’s a pretty strong case for trying us. Will you?
Tell us if you’re mad.
