On top of setting a stadium mark in the 440-yard relay, the Tigers also broke the meet marie for the earns event and did the asms thing in the mile relay where anchor man Steve Norris overhauled bis Purdue opponent for the victory in a thus of 8:23.5. Ron Btauser, Tiger dashman who was injured in the 220 event, set a meet record in the trials of the 100-yard dub in a time of 10 fiat. His was edged in the finals, however, by Gorrafi who won the event In :10.1. Norris added DePauw’s other second. He got it in the 880 run, finishing four step* behind Ken Sparks of Ball State.

Ball State ahoved DePauw’s baseball team deeper into the IOC cellar Saturday. The Cards dealt the Tigers twin setbacks, 8-1, in the first gams, 11-4, ta the seven inning nightcap. A six-run uprising in the seventh inning of the opener blew apart the initial encounter. A bases loaded triple, and then an error, two singles and a walk added six markers to the narrow 2-1 lead State took into the seventh. Starter Dick Walker and his reliefer BIB Keady were victims of the explosion.
