ORANGE SWEET POTATOES 34 e. brown sugar 1 tbsp. com starch 34 tap. salt 1 e. orange juice 34 e. butter or margarine 1 (1 lb. 18 oz.) can sweet potatoes or 834 e. fresh cooked chunked sweet potatoes 34 e. orange sections (1 orange) Combine sugar, com starch and salt; add orange juice and butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens. Pour over sweet potatoes in baking dish. Decorate with orange sections. Bake at 356* F. for 26 min. Serves 8.

RASTER RA8KBT CAKE 1 (17 oz.) pkg. angel food cake mix £ tbsp. vegetable 34 c. Ught com syrup 8 tbsp. water 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 e.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels 1 (634 oz.) pkg. 7-minute fluffy white frosting mix Jelly bean candies Prepare and bake cake in a 10-in. tube pan, according to pkg. directions. Cool; remove from pan. Combine shortening, light' corn syrup and water in saucepan. Bring just to a boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add semi-sweet chocolate morsels and stir until smooth. Prepare 7-minute frosting according to pkg. directions. To put together cake, place on serving plate, wide end at top. Frost with semi-sweet chocolate frosting. To make wicker design to create basket effect, use % of 7-minute frosting in a cake decorator or paper cone with tip snipped off. Make straight, vertical lines down side of cake at about 134 in. intervals. Fill in between vertical lines with 2 X’s. Make frosting pattern of edging

5 School Systems To Get fends INDIANAPOLIS UPI — The Indiana General Education Commission has approved nearly |5 million in proposed secondary vocational programs in. five school systems. The action, subject to final approval April 18 by the State Board of Vocational and Technical Education, is the first allocation to be made under the federal vocational program in Indiana. Vocational director Mearle Donica explained that 32,443,461 in federal funds represented money which would revert to Washington unless it is used by June 30. The schools for which the commission approved programs and the amounts tentatively authorized were: Michigan City area schools— 31.557,000 construction, 3300,060 equipment. Shelbyville central Schools — $114,000 construction, 3657,000 equipment, $55,000 instruction. Fayette County School Corp. —$1,343,372 construction. $656,778 equipment. Garrett-Keyser—Butler Community School District — $120,000 construction, $16,859 equipment. Southwest School Corp. of Sullivan County — $36,914 construction, $20,000 equipment. The total of $4,886,923 includes both the 50 per cent federal funds and local funds. The state board was created by the 1965 Legislature to receive all federal funds for vocational education and to divide those funds between the General Education Commission and the Indiana Vocational Technical College.
